چکیده

E levated levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) have been associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease among the general population (1– 6). People with diabetes (7), hypertension (8), and obesity (9) have CRP levels that are higher than those in people without these conditions in the general population. Previous studies indicate an inverse association between dietary fiber intake and levels of inflammatory biomarkers (10,11). Acknowledging that individuals with certain conditions (e.g., diabetes) are at higher risk for elevated CRP, it is unclear whether intake of dietary fiber may have more impact on inflammatory markers among such people. To investigate the relationship between dietary fiber and inflammatory markers in people with diabetes, hypertension, and obesity, we conducted a study using the nationally representative 1999 –2002 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).

Effect of high Intensity Interval Training on Adiponectin Leptin Ratio and C‌‌‌-Reactive Protein in Streptozotocin Nicotinamide Induced Diabetic Rats

Introduction: Changes in plasma adipicin and inflammatory parameters in type 2 diabetes are due to obesity and directly related to the condition of diabetes. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of High intensity interval training (HIIT) on the ratio of adiponectin to leptin and C-reactive protein (CRP) in type 2 diabetic rats.   Materials & Methods: In this experimental study, ...

Maternal Serum C- Reactive Protein Concentration in Gestational Diabetes

OBJECTIVE: Low-grade systemic inflammation is associated with an increased risk of type 2 diabetes. C-Reactive Protein (CRP), an acute phase protein produced by hepatocytes, may be associated with diabetes. This study aimed to compare serum levels of CRP in women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), impaired glucose tolerance test and control subjects. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this ca...

P99: The Role of C- Reactive Protein in Obesity and Neuropathic Diseases

Acute phase C-reactive protein (CRP), raised in obesity and inflammation, is a main binding protein for leptin. It is assumed that CRP contributes to leptin confrontation by preventing leptin from crossing the blood-brain barrier (BBB). Here we defined how CRP cooperates with the BBB and whether it deters leptin from attainment CNS targets. CRP was constant in blood, but did not permeate the BB...

The effect of eight weeks of aerobic training and Quercetin supplementation on blood pressure, C- reactive protein, and interleukin-6 in inactive overweight women

Introduction and purpose: One of the complications of overweight and obesity is inflammation and hypertension. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of eight weeks of aerobic training with quercetin supplementation on hypertension, CRP, and IL-6 in inactive overweight women. Materials and Methods: Forty inactive healthy overweight women (age 33.25±6.1 years, fat percentage 36.65±2.78 and bod...
